About Me
Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to visit Karry Grady Counseling Services, PLLC and learn more about me and my services.

I am a graduate of East Carolina University, serving as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Level I Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. My training is rich in foundations of trauma informed care and research, dynamics of self, families and relationships, and mental health along the lifespan. Trauma care is a personal interest of mine and is at the core of my work. Before I became a therapist, I worked as a Data Analyst for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at ECU Health Medical Center for 11 years. I interfaced with many professionals involved in acute trauma care, which added to my perspective of trauma and its impact on the person’s body, mind, and overall wellbeing. Working in acute trauma led me to a deeper realization that I wanted to engage in helping those heal who have survived traumatic events, whether it be acute, secondary, developmental, chronic, or complex.
I am a North Carolina native from Goldsboro, NC. I am a wife and a mother and love a good cup of coffee (or three) - just keeping it real! As a person, I am personable and laid-back, and I incorporate these attributes as a clinician as well. I am passionate about my role as a therapist and remain engaged in continued education and personal learning to be the best clinician for my clients. I practice from a mostly person-centered approach, which means I aim to understand my client’s point of view with them being the expert of their life experience while considering various treatments tailored to their specific needs. I hope to create a relaxing and 'home away from home' atmosphere for my clients and am so happy to be able to serve my community and surrounding areas!
